This policy explains what data Loopcam.tv collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.
What we collect
We collect the information you provide when creating an account (email address, display name, gender), content you upload (profile photos), messages you send to other users, and technical data generated while using the service (activity logs, connection events). We also derive your approximate country from your IP address at connection time - this is used solely for the country live-session filter and is not stored. Anonymised usage metrics are collected to understand how the service is used.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data under the following legal bases: (a) Contract performance — to create and manage your account and deliver the service you signed up for; (b) Legitimate interests — to maintain service security, prevent abuse, and produce anonymised analytics; (c) Legal obligation — to retain billing and payment records as required by applicable financial regulations. We do not send marketing communications.
How we use your data
Your data is used to operate and personalise the service, authenticate you on each session, apply your live-session preferences, process payments and manage subscriptions, investigate abuse reports, and send transactional emails (account created, account deleted, subscription events).
Third-party processors
We share data with the following processors under data processing agreements: Google / Firebase (authentication and identity management, servers located in the EU and US under Standard Contractual Clauses); our payment provider (payment processing, subject to its own privacy policy); ipwho.is (IP-to-country lookup for live-session filtering - only the IP address is sent, no account data); our hosting provider for the application server and database. We do not sell your data to any third party.
How long we keep your data
Account and profile data is kept for as long as your account is active. Messages are kept until you delete the conversation or your account. Activity logs are kept for 90 days. Billing and payment records are kept as required by applicable financial regulations. Anonymised analytics are kept indefinitely.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request erasure of your data (right to be forgotten); restrict or object to processing; request data portability. Your controls
You can update your profile and chat settings at any time inside the app. You can delete your account from the Profile page — this permanently removes your data from our systems within 24 hours. You control camera and microphone access through your browser permissions.
